Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about our solar and EV solutions.
Why is my online price only an estimate?
Our online calculator gives you a estimate, but the final price can only be confirmed after a site survey. This is because every property is different, and factors such as the number of scaffolding platforms, any roof repairs, additional interlinked fire alarm protection, and the length of cabling required can all affect the total cost. The survey ensures your final quote is accurate, transparent, and free from hidden surprises.
Do I need a battery with my solar system?
A battery isn’t mandatory, but it’s highly recommended. Without a battery, your system will export any unused energy back to the grid. With a battery, you can store that excess energy and use it later — for example, at night or during cloudy days — which significantly increases your energy independence and reduces reliance on the grid.
What government incentives are available?
In the UK, homeowners and businesses can benefit from incentives such as the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), which allows you to earn money for the excess electricity you export back to the grid. Additionally, installing solar panels can increase your property’s value and reduce long-term energy bills, offering financial advantages beyond the initial savings.
How long does installation take?
Most residential installations take 1 to 3 days to complete, depending on the size of the system and the property’s structure. Larger commercial systems may take longer. Before installation begins, a full site survey and planning process are conducted to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely during the installation phase.
Are finance options available?
Yes, we offer flexible finance options through our partner Kanda, allowing you to spread the cost of your solar installation over manageable monthly payments. Finance is subject to status and terms, but this option makes switching to solar more accessible without large upfront costs.
Are you accredited installers?
Yes, our installation team is fully accredited and MCS-certified (Microgeneration Certification Scheme), ensuring all work meets UK industry and safety standards. We follow strict quality guidelines and use only approved materials, so you can trust your system is installed to the highest professional standard.
